Gilberto Rodríguez founded Gillybert in 2017 and has grown it into a global trade research firm serving clients across the United States, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Pacific. For over eight years, organizations across the public, private, and social-impact sectors have relied on his analysis to enter new markets, strengthen operations, and make decisions that hold up over time.
As a research and strategy consultant, he has supported clients in renewable energy, education, real estate development, environmental initiatives, and cross-border trade. His work has included projects with the Federación Boliviana de Rugby, ConDecor Mexico, and GeneTank. It has also covered market entry work that took a client from first assessment to an operating business overseas.
Before founding Gillybert, he worked at The Blue Lab in Boston, contributing to research, data analysis, and strategic communication for public-sector and political clients. He later spent five years in analytics and operations at Brink’s Inc., where he analyzed financial transactions, oversaw multimillion-dollar inventories, supported financial forecasting, and strengthened operational controls for federal and private clients.
Gilberto’s career began in community safety and nonprofit program development, where he managed educational and public-service initiatives that reached more than 100,000 participants. That foundation shaped his commitment to responsible growth and practical solutions that benefit both organizations and communities.
He holds a Master of Science in International Business from Hult International Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix. His certifications in commercial banking and credit analysis, financial management for development professionals, and financial inclusion support his work at the intersection of trade, finance, and research.
When he’s not working with clients, Gilberto stays active in his community. He serves on the Board of Future Leaders, Inc., a nonprofit focused on holistic learning for children, and is a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles. He lives in Bellflower with his bull terrier, Luna, and enjoys spending time outdoors, watching baseball, and catching rugby matches whenever he can.
